GINETTA JUNIOR WINTER SERIES - DOUBLE POLE AND A RACE WIN

Good results in his final Ginetta Junior event

Jarrett finished his Ginetta Junior career with the same event he started with - the Ginetta Junior Winter Series at Silverstone National Circuit. The Winter Series is a weekend event, with qualification and three races. Ginetta use your fastest lap in qualifying for starting position in the first race, and your second fastest lap for you starting position in the second race. The third race starting position is determined by how you finish in the second race. A year ago, when Jarrett competed, he qualified 10th and 11th fastest, and finished in similar positions.

This year Jarrett qualified on pole for both races and led all three races. Unfortunately, he was spun in the first race but recovered to finish 5th. He would need a strong finish in race two to have a chance of winning the series, and did just that, leading almost from start to finish despite a couple of battles to take his first race win.

It was all to play for in race three, where Jarrett started pole again, but after being hit twice, his bonnet came loose, and with severe damage was forced to retire. Sadly, this meant Jarrett could not win the Winter Series, through no fault of his own. But, with double pole and a dominant race win, Jarrett was the best driver of the event.
