Karting is the entry level sport to major motorsports such as Formula 1. But there are many different karting competitions all over the world, and in many different classes. What makes OK Junior and OK classes of WSK so important is that it’s a place where young F1 drivers have proved themselves. The WSK Euro series as it is current run began in 2010. Below are a list of previous winners in the OK Junior Class that Jarrett is competing in. 1st and 2nd place in WSK Europe has provided four F1 Drivers so far.
Charles Leclerc won the senior class championship before moving on to Formula 1.
Although there is no guarantee that competing or even doing well in WSK will lead to a career in motorsport, for Jarrett the opportunity to compete with best in the world is a fantastic opportunity. Of the current 20 drivers in Formula 1, 18 raced in WSK. Currently Jarrett is in Cremona, competing in Round 4 of the WSK Super Masters Series. We will give an update of how this went next week.
