Jarrett raced in WSK Super Master Series Round 4 last weekend. As this is Jarrett’s first year in racing OKJ class, we are looking for improvement rather than wins In qualifying, Jarrett qualified 56th fastest out of 81 drivers.
In his second heat, Jarrett showed some improvement, gaining 4 place to finish 15th.
But then in his next heat, crashed out in the first lap.
Bouncing back from the disappointment of the second heat, in his next heat Jarrett managed to improve 6 places to 13th.
Jarrett then put in his best race of his time so far in OK Junior, finishing in the top 10! Unfortunately a nose cone penalty of 5 seconds pushed him back to 20th. Most encouraging of all was that Jarrett was setting fastest sector times during the middle of the race for the first time in OKJ, meaning he was finding real pace.
Jarrett’s results were good enough to qualify for the pre-final, and would need a very good result to get to the final, but it was a bridge too far. But showing some signs of pace is a very good.
