Jarrett is focused on being competitive in British F4 this season with his team Virtuosi. As a warm up to the British F4 season he is racing in the Middle East during the winter. He is currently competing in the UAE4 series - which comprises of two rounds at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi, one round at the Dubai Autodrome and one round at the Lusail circuit in Qatar.
He has just completed the two events in Abu Dhabi. In the first event, trouble in qualifying resulted in P20 and P12, disappointing given the pace shown in testing. Race one he achieved P23 following a technical fault at the start of the race meant a recovery drive off the back of the 38 car grid. Race 2 where the start position was determined by the race 1 result, a race riddled with safety cars but Jarrett drove to a secure P17. Race 3 having started P12, by turn 3 of lap 1 he was up to P8 however he then made contact with a car in front which damaged his front wing, so he had to retire to the pits for a new one. Once again re-joining at the back in P38 he made an exceptional recovery drive overtaking 18 cars to finish the race in P20.
For the second round, he went better in qualifying achieving P11 and P14 leaving him in a position to score points. In the first race he managed a P10 and P4 rookie - securing the team’s first championship points. The second race is a reverse grid for the top 12 drivers - meaning Jarrett started third. Unusually for Abu Dhabi a heavy downpour saw this race suspended early - leaving Jarrett in 3rd and with his first podium and top rookie! He added another 15 points for himself and the team.
The third race saw him get hit by another driver, leading to another recovery drive. Overall a great result. His efforts saw Jarrett move to 13th out 39 in the Championship and improved his team from last place to 8th out of 12 teams as well as. ,He is currently also 5th in the Rookie championship.
The competition now moves to Dubai and a new track for Jarrett.
